Process

Outplacement' Outplacement Program meets

Phase
One: Assessment
The
assessment phase is where we begin our work with outplacement
clients. During the assessment phase:
- Clients
make initial contact with RS Outplacement at
our Toronto office. At that meeting, the program will
be fully explained and questions about the program
answered.
- After
discussing the client's unique needs with one of the
firm's outplacement consultants, a series of meetings
will be scheduled to ensure the client feels supported
during this transitional time.
- The
client will receive the PERSONALIZED CAREER ASSESSMENT,
designed specifically for their profession. Career
testing such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the
Strong Campbell Interest Inventory and the COPS (Comprehensive
Occupational Preference System) will also be administered
at this time.
Phase
Two: Skill Discovery
During
the second phase, clients receive a comprehensive analysis
of the PERSONALIZED CAREER ASSESSMENT, and with the
assistance of the outplacement consultant, will develop
a tailored job search strategy. This phase includes:
- Interpretation
and review of career testing results.
- Analysis,
review and further clarification of the PERSONALIZED
CAREER ASSESSMENT.
- Identification
of and building upon personal network of contacts.
- Creation
of a resume and cover letter to be used in response
to career opportunities.
On-going
in-person and telephone conferences with the client's
outplacement consultant will also be provided.
Phase
Three: Skills At Work
This
phase refines the techniques and skills acquired, and
helps the client meet the challenge of his or her job
search. This phase includes:
- Identification
of motivational barriers and development
of effective strategies.
- Implementation
of the client's networking system.
- Individually
tailored interviewing techniques.
- Continued
and comprehensive career consulting.
- Development
of a personal marketing plan.
- On-going
telephone contact as needed.
- Revision
and final draft of resume. Client will receive 20
copies.
Phase
Four: Due Diligence
This
phase focuses on putting all of the personalized information,
career strategies and techniques to work for current
and long-term success and career satisfaction. This
phase includes:
- Implementation
of a personal marketing plan.
- Utilization
of effective personal marketing strategies.
- Identification
and resolution of motivational barriers.
- Continued
development of personal marketing plan and network.
